Privacy Policy

The short version

Kyoto Unknown does not collect, store, or share your personal data. The app works entirely on your device.

Data we collect

None. We do not collect analytics, track usage, require accounts, or use any third-party tracking services.

Location data

The app requests location permission solely to show your position on the map. Your location is processed on-device by Apple Maps and is never sent to our servers. We do not have servers. Location permission is optional, the app works without it.

Saved data

Bookmarks, collections, and preferences (such as your chosen theme) are stored locally on your device using iOS built-in storage. This data is not synced, uploaded, or accessible to us.

Third-party services

The app uses Apple Maps for map display and directions. Apple's privacy policy governs their handling of map data. We do not use any other third-party services.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how we handle data, we will update this page. Given that we collect nothing, changes are unlikely.
